Lower back pain can be from many issues. I recommend checking with a GP if its been long time.

Also ask your GP for a DXA scan to rule out Ostopenia/Ostoperosis.

Also check your Vitamin D levels.

Yes, I'm an otherwise healthy 33 y/o male, and months 4-6 off I could hardly walk.  Lower back and pelvis were so bad, felt like I had an elephant squashing me. Was in ER twice, thought I had appendicitis, prostatitis, cauda equina syndrome, etc.  It wasn't.  The muscle spasms entrapped nerves and shot pain down my legs, my right leg particularly was extremely weak/wobbly.  Muscles in my pelvis were so bad I lost my bladder sometimes and couldn't tell when I had to go, and it really hurt when I did.

It's getting slowly better.  So slowly.  I still have the issues at 9 months off but I know there is light at the end of the tunnel some day.  I had none of this prior.

Walk as much as you can.  Stretching always makes it worse for me but gentle physical activity gets some blood flow to the spasmed muscles and helps a little. Heat as well, hot tub, heating pad, hot shower, etc.

Yes. Mostly, I live on my heating pad. Horrible back pain and now leg and foot as well with spasms, all on the right side. Stretching and walks make it worse too, I'm still tapering.

Recommend “heading back pain” by Dr Sarno for everyone on this thread. If nothing else it will help ease your anxiety about it a bit. It goes into the psychosomatic element of back pain caused by tension and hypoxia, nothing malignant, and it gets better once you accept that.

I have terrible back pain at 34. I think a lot of it has to do with lifestyle - I sit at a desk all day hunched in front of a computer, and don't stretch or exercise as much as I should. During the 10 years of Valium use, I didn't really move around a whole lot and now I have a lot of ground to recover physically. I feel twice my age. I'm sure withdrawal has something to do with it as well; I used to have muscle spasms and now anxiety causes me to clench up. I'm tired and sore most of the time. I'm hopeful that yoga and gentle exercise will help. I do plan on seeing a doctor though because the pain has been progressing over the past several months and is pretty intrusive now.

Mine is not a pain. Mine is a RLS or more like restlessness feeling in lower spine that comes and goes and travels up and down my spine to my tail bone. Its an electricity. Sometimes it turns into pain. Its real real bad though and its hard to focus during the day.

I just recently started having leg pain above my knees. I’ve never felt it before so I don’t know how to describe it. It’s kind of like muscle cramping.  Very frustrating.
