I'm scared - my dentists don't believe me re WD and they don't understand how I can be affected by oral procedures.

Can you recommend someone?

If I were in your situation, I'd forget holistic dentistry and have this issue treated by a qualified dentist who uses standard procedures.

You might want to ask for a painkiller shot without the Adrenalin, which any dentist should have available, if he thinks it will be safe to administer.

Good luck.

Zeph,

I'm a Protracted Survivor - still ill after 3.5 years off a low dose of Xanax. I have no energy to be sicker, and my dentists don't believe me re WD and how treatment could affect my WD symptoms. Current WD symptoms are at times so bad - I refuse to have them get worse by doing treatment.

I wonder if doing a removal without anesthesia at all will be bearable.

I also lost my trust in doctors in general - after what happened to me. My doc told me that the benzo I was taking is: "100% safe to take for life" - when I asked. All the doctors I consulted with in WD told me I was inventing things, that my symptoms had nothing to do with benzos.

I'm currently having an extensive amount of dental work performed! I actually have a cyst growing above the upper left hand portion of my teeth / mouth which showed up via XRAYS! I was put on "Clindamycin", only a week earlier as it was revealed I have a staph infection.. "Unbelievable"! However after the cyst showed up they immediately switched me to a "Zpack" which I unfortunately didn't tolerate whatsoever! I woke up in the morning with a screaming headache after taking only three of those potent little suckers! I have since discontinued the ABX and have another dental appointment around the corner.

I asked the dentist to please use an "Anesthetic", which wouldn't exasperate by "Klonopin W/D Now Eight Months Out"! Interestingly enough maybe it worked as I didn't feel any ill effects from the anesthetic? It goes without saying that tapering off of "Klonopin", "Hydrocodone", "Morphine", and "Gabapentin", was difficult enough as it is....and now having to deal with all of the aforementioned "YIKES"! I told myself I would never take another RX drug(s) again after spending close to fifteen months in hell getting off of them coupled with the "NOW", seemingly extensive "Post Jumping", chapter!
