Anyone else experience cramping/pressure in upper stomach?

So, I'm currently on an off-day between doses.  Next dose is tomorrow night with 1/8th of .50mg klonopin (roughly .0625mg).  I plan on taking a dose tomorrow night, then my last on Monday, and then jumping...

That being said, I've noticed off and on as I've been tapering that I've been getting this pressure or cramping feeling in my upper abdomen.  It feels like it's just about midline and is about 4-5 inches below my sternum.  It isn't painful, but just annoying...  I've tried to describe it in various ways as feeling like an air bubble that won't go away, a pressure, or cramping.  Has anyone else experienced this?  I try to keep in mind that I never felt this sensation until I started benzos, although I dont remember feeling it on ativan...  it's only started with the klonopin.

When i was in the worst of my WD i woke up a couple times almost doubled over with stomach pain. I suppose it was benzo belly maybe? ''

I have read there are lots of gaba receptors in the stomach that can react when cutting

Thanks for the reply, ocean!  Yeah, it just scares me because it is enough of a nuisance that it has woke me up bc of the pressure I feel...  even though it's below the chest, the air bubble/pressure feels significant enough that it makes me feel a bit short of breath.

I first felt it between doses when I tried to go out and run a mile, and I felt the air bubble/pressure while I was running and it lasted for a few hours afterwards.  Then today, I had a bad dream, felt that same pressure, and started feeling troubled so I woke up, then my health anxiety kicked in again and I ended up laying around on the couch all day in fear and the feeling finally started subsiding after like 8 hours.

It almost feels like my stomach locks up, a huge gas bubble, or maybe my intestines cramping up in that area.  I had a thoracic CT, liver metabolic panel, general blood work, and a heart echo in February and all were clear and healthy.  Then I started the klonopin from ativan in March.  So, I'm guessing Its w/d symptoms...  I just always assumed benzo belly was like lower abdomen bloating or cramping.

Same exact symptoms for 2 months now.  Had CT of abdomen w/ contrast, tons of blood work, etc.  They can't find anything.  I know that horrible tight feeling.  It actually makes me feel as though I can't breath because I can't expand my abdomen.  Trying to get the gastroenterologist to even comprehend the symptoms was impossible.  She just looked at me with a odd expression.  What I'm noticing is that stress and anxiety is making it worse.  I guess it makes sense that if other muscles in my body tense up, why not my stomach muscles as well.  However, it's frustrating as all get out.  To be honest, it's the worst symptom I have at the moment but it's distressing.  Especially when I try to take a deep breath and feel like I can't!  Ugh!  When will THIS one pass?
