Having A Very Hard Day At Work

I'm having a very rough time today. I'm literally nearing 14 months off this stuff. I still don't get good sleep and for no reason in particular. I'm not even feeling stressed about life. I slept about four hours last night. When I woke up, I felt so depressed about everything and felt no point in going on. Every little negative thought makes me feel like life's not worth it. I'm at work now and there were a few moments when I thought I would go crazy in front of my students. Not even sure what that would mean. I feel like I'm going to pass out because of anxiety. I have terrible depression and feel like I'm going to lose it. Can this all still be blamed on withdrawal?

Yes 100% withdrawal and it sounds like you’re in the final depression/OCD phase many have had to go through. You’ll probably heal between 18-24 months like most do.

I am 25 months off and had terrible depression since march. Trying to cope with remeron but the relief is at cost of bieng deattached. At first when i cold turkeyed had hope now i am exausted.

I've taken no other medications during all this. Honestly, I think the lack of sleep from last night is why I feel so terrible right now. I don't know if taking time off work would help me or not. I'm guessing not working this summer will be good for me, I hope.

TheAtivanExperience, I keep thinking over and over that this could be the final push to healing but it never is. What was it like when your mental symptoms disappeared?

You’ll get windows of feeling positive emotions and you’ll feel content and fine. Maybe a little anxious but feeling good overall. Those windows slowly get bigger and bigger and the depression and ocd will be less and less frequent until you just forget about the negative stuff. Sleep plays a big role - the more consistent 7+ hours a night you get the more you’ll feel your brain start to stabilize.

Thanks, Gwinna. I'm very tired of waking up before five am feeling chemical anxiety in my stomach. Just thinking about the day ahead at work creates this anxiety. I'm worried I won't be able to have a job because I can't deal with life and adult things. I need to work in order to live.
