Tightness, feelings of pressure inside question?

Do you feel this anywhere? (head, chest, stomach, back, throat, mouth, etc) Do you have it now? If yes, describe plz. If you had it and do not have it now or still have it but now less in severity, how long did it take to subside for you?

Thanks--

I have tightness throughout my entire body.  I’m 4.5 months since Xanax CT.  The tightness/pressure in my head feels like a shaken can of soda ready to explode.  In my legs/feet (so bad it’s indescribable).  The rest of my body I get wide band like feelings everywhere (like a 2” wide rubberband that is way to tight).  Now, 18 hours a day.  Months 1-3 24/7.  It is painful, I know it will pass.  It is difficult to describe.

I recently started experiencing a tightness / pressure across my forehead. I have more pressure behind my right eye. It , along with a spacey, foggey, feeling in my head makes for a difficult time concentrating and focusing. It reminds me of the feeling I have when Im taking cold medicine. Im 7 months of Ativan and these are my newest symptoms.

I started getting Tension/Pressure headaches that felt like someone was pushing down on the top of my head.  I started getting them a couple days after i first started tapering.  It hits you like a wave and can last anywhere from an hour to a few days. Also, any sort of anxiety emotion seemed to trigger it.  I started wrapping an ice pack around my head to kind of shock/numb my brain.  I also would get tightness in my chest if I felt anxiety even watching something on TV.  It felt like i was going to have a heart attack.  I'd constantly monitor my heart rate on my fitbit.  It's been a month and half since I first started tapering and has been 3 weeks of my 1mg hold of Xanax. I'd say I'm starting to feel like I'm stabilizing and the tightness and pressure is way less severe since I started my hold. I've been looking for answers on this site for remedies and how long it lasts even after fully removing the drugs from your system.  The conclusion seems to be that it varies for everyone and there is no quick fix.  It is apart of the WD process.  It's scary and hard to explain.  I actually found Jesus through this process and watch sermons online which seem to honestly mediate/calm my brain and I feel better.

To each their own. Good luck 🙏

This started for me almost 2 ,moths ago and has not let up. I've had almost every test done and all were fine. The tightness is causing me so much anxiety because I feel like I can't get a deep breath! It's horrible. I can only pray that it lessens the more I reduce my Xanax. Just reading these posts is helping since I had myself convinced that it was something serious!!!

Keep us posted and I'll do the same.

Ditto Lori! It is a horrible sx. Anything chest related makes us think heart related and provokes a lot of anxiety. It traps you in a vicious cycle. Mine is constant too. If mine lets up or gets worse or anything changes, I will update. Please do the same everyone.
