Any crazy symptom? Annoying bubbling, pulsing under left rib cage?

Have had this off and on throughout my taper- Feels almost like I'm pregnant with a baby kicking from inside (I'm 70)

Is this part of Benzo Belly- also bloated and not a great appetite most days- I'm actually 2 plus weeks off my last bit of klonopin- Rotating symptoms have been burning feet & legs, inner shivering, fatigue and constant insomnia- This too shall pass I'm hoping 🤞🙏

I have it but it’s under the right rib. Feels like a baby kicking or a heart beat. I think it’s a muscle spasms

I had pain under left rib cage, my first indicator of tolerance.

Numerous/fruitless visits to doctors followed....72 days free, today....it was benzo's all along.

Up until i read this post i thought i was alone. This is one of my most troubling symtoms, and i had a feeling it has to do with tolerence. It's been worse since starting taper....what helps with it? I get it all the time and no one understands what I'm talking about when i describe it including my doctor

Hi Bracess1- My doctor says it's muscular- my husband says it's where your spleen is and it's a sharp bend in your colon - It kept me up literally all last night (allowing lots of other symptoms to show up in the middle of the night-insomnia is taking over)  I'm thinking it might be part of the Benzo Belly everyone talks about-  It mostly starts late in the day - and usually I'm bloated-my stomach distended-  I think if we can just know that it's nothing serious (hard to do in the middle of the night) and as a "symptom of recovery" it will go away 🤞 Trying to eat the right foods and keep "regular" (one of my issues as well)  I believe I had it before during the beginning of my taper and it disappeared for a few months-  Always good to know you're not alone!

Let's keep track of this- will let you if/when mine stops and hope you will too-

Good luck!

I've had this intermittently on my right side entire taper. Definitely a muscle spasm for me. I've grown used to it and hardly notice it anymore. I consider this a minor symptom. Certainly doesn't wake me up like it does Menesha. Sorry to hear that.

Think the right side is a bit different since the left has a sharp bend in the colon and the spleen - glad your symptom isn't more than just bothersome!  Hopefully mine will go away- only been 2 1/2 weeks off and I had an amazing window yesterday- so am grateful I can see the possibility ahead 🙏

Mine started off as a muscle contraction feeling, and would come and go. During taper it's been every day. My doctor seems to think its anxiety. It's a feeling i did have when i was 9 months pregnant when the baby really was kicking. I am going to have a check up with doctor and hopefully see if i can get more info on whats going on...I know withdrawal is no fun, and health anxiety is huge for me. I'm so sorry this keeps you up at night. For me so far it starts to act up within 10 minutes of waking

Am totally with you on health anxiety. Have had a lot of really early deaths and cancers in my family.  My mother died when I was 5 of breast cancer- she was 35- my step mother at 44 from melanoma when I was 17-my two kid brothers- 53 & 59 two different types of lung cancer- neither ever smoked- my son had cancer at 26- my sister has had two bouts with breast cancer- I come by it honestly!

Trying hard to just push away negative thoughts and lump them all into symptoms of recovery.

We shall get through this- helps to have this support!

Aww hugs, I'm so sorry so many deaths and illnesses. I know my health anxiety started last year when i lost my mom ...I started the taper about a month ago, there is always some symtom I'm concerned about, this muscle thing is so far the worst.

So good news from me-  I've been working on my insomnia- reading a lot- Found a great resource- Say Goodnight to Insomnia-  A Harvard PhD who has worked on sleep for decades- Gregg Jacobs.  He is very clear with evidence based facts that losing sleep does not cause horrible health problems- In fact people who sleep 8 hours or more have a higher morbidity rate than those who sleep less- He has a no nonsense approach to sleep -basically mind over matter-replace negative thoughts with positive (he helped design the Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Insomnia that has been proven so effective)

Last night I replaced all my negative thoughts about sleep as soon as they started (I know that some nights it's not possible) and it worked- a what will be will be attitude-  Had a full 6 hours which for me is heaven. The bubbling was very minor in the night.  Then I woke up this morning with full on interior kicking- wouldn't stop- my body started shaking-  I managed to sit down and put on a meditation tape- I used the Honest Guys from Youtube-

It worked- the bubbling stopped right away- the shaking as well- I am a super hero-I can use my head to stop some of this- It was like a miracle- Now I might have been in just the right space emotionally to accept this but it did work- I will take that with me the next time- I was amazed-  Went out in the rain (armed with umbrella) and took a 4 mile race walk- I know this could just be a window but it's sure exciting to see the light at the end of the tunnel!  Hope your also having a good day or that maybe some of this might help you 🙏

I have this too. Do you often coughing when this happens? I feel like I have to cough when this happens

No coughing for me- just the weird thumping. Now I get it in early evening and in the morning.

Seems I can control it with meditation- maybe it’s just relaxing the muscles.

Guess it’s not all that unusual. My leg/foot burning is now more annoying. Symptoms seem to swap off with each other 😩
