A positive post. Just for today what feels better, however small ?

I want to try and feel positive so I thought it might be good to try and focus on what feels better, even if it's just for today.

Here are some of my thoughts.

I managed to eat my evening meal and enjoy it

I walked for longer without feeling sick

I have been able to have the television on in the background even if I am not yet able to concentrate on the programme till late at night.

My tinnitus is not as loud at the moment.

My fingers feel warmer this evening

I feel hungry

I have made a dose reduction

Do you have any positives. It does not mean for ever, just for today and however tiny. Tomorrow may hold  different positives.

I am told positive thinking helps. So maybe we can help ourselves here.

This is GREAT Jen! So happy to read these improvements.

I also feel much better today - feel 90% great. Healing DOES happen as we taper!!

I had my second window this week  , that's two since February.  This one lasted 2 1/2 days, my first one was longer, but this is from someone who almost went 2 years of tapering without a window.  Shows if you keep trying, you never know when that window may open up.  Love you all, Mary 💜

That's great news, Jen!  Thanks for sharing - it truly gives others hope!  :)

I'll share that tomorrow marks 4 weeks since I took my last dose.  Although I still have sxs, they continue decreasing in intensity since I jumped.  I'm ever so grateful.

Wishing everyone a silver lining!

I think it's reassuring for everyone that healing really does happen as you taper, so once you jump, there's no need to expect the worst.  All the work everyone's doing, tapering wisely, should serve you well.  Thanks, Mary!  :)

I think it's brilliant and encouraging to read the positives that everyone is finding,  that can be so easily be dismissed when feeling dragged down,

I decided to try my hardest to find some and sure enough they are there even with all my struggles

Thank you everyone for joining in. I do hope we can keep this going. It helps me and I hope it helps others too .

Each day can bring something however small, and I am really trying to change my mindset as they say thinking positively helps the healing.

Great idea for a thread!  We need more of this!

The last 2 days I woke without the adrenaline surge.  First time in a very long time!

I’m getting there!!!!

Chin

I giggled when I read you opening post as it could be inferred some of us had “small thingy” probs. -)))

Anyway I told my psych she had ruined my last 4 years and am now much better off Seroquel, paid her and left.

And the kids were happy at Messy Church!

Thanks

Dick

Thank you all for joining in and sharing.

I hope this place will let help. I so easily focus on negatives  but there are positives if I look for them

Love the windows happening for you Mary

Pete , You are doing so well and  I am sure your positive attitude is helping

Sierra, It's good to know that it does not have to be bad post taper.

I am hoping others will find  even tiny things that are postive . It might be that you managed to walk a  few extra steps. It does not matter how small if it's a positive for you

Sara sue and Tech21. I am so glad that there are improvements going on for you. It shows we are mending but tend not to notice when in the thick of it.

I am the worst culprit, but  I am assured  that positive thinking help us heal.

Each day there  may be something different, and it may be tiny, and perhaps it vanishes again but it proves we are capable of healing.

Thank you so much for helping me with positive messages,. I hope it will help all of us to remember that we are moving forward even when we think we are not,

Circle star , that's great news, Adrenaline surges are horrible. It helps to know they can leave. Fingers crossed they stay away.

Each day may bring something different and that is what I am hoping we will notice when feeling off.

Forty

You are funny. You have made me smile, which is another positive. a small thingy indeed.

Great stuff Everyone..!!

Tonight I have my Dr Nedley based Seminar thingie.. This weeks homework was to banish negative thoughts... No small thing for me...  :(

I havnt been up to "doing" much due to the physical nature of my current non benzo situation.. But Today I had a serious reflection on where I have been in the past with this (opiate) med..

I sure have come a long way..!!

I have never gone into that nightmare here on BB, -not even close... But I will when I write my SS once med free and healed...

To be able to look back and see the path traveled has given me much strength... Despite the recent challenges, and the seriousness of where I came from, -in addition to what lays ahead, many small wins (and some bigger ones) have all compounded to letting me know I will be A-OK...

Celebrating the small things, -is no small thing..!!

Way to go Guys..!!

I have woken to my usual dread and fear, but my positive is that the sun is shining. I can see it shining through my window. I can see the different shades of green from a variety of trees. I have fresh air and was able to eat a little breakfast.

I have truly caring  friends on here.

Hoping for more positives later in the day

Thank you everyone for joining in
