Lexapro while in Benzo Withdrawal!

[...]

Recommended Posts

I was in hospital for the treatment of Pneumonia.  My heart rate was 90-100bpm. The doctor put me on anti depressant Lexapro. I said no but he said he will kick me out if he is not  going to take my medicine. So only took one tab 5 mg. I felt magic but less than benzo. I slept immediately and heart rate calmed but 12 hours later my heart rate spiked 120bpm and insomania came back and I was awake whole night next day at 2pm I slept for 4 hours.

Now my heart has spiked to 120bpm +.

Is it Lexapro withdrawal?

Should I tapper one 5mg dose?

I'm taking Propondol 10mg and it lowers heart rate and palpations. I think its has less side effects than Lexapro or benzos.

So lexapro for high heart rate? Odd. It doesn't even treat that. Must be prescribing it for anxiety actually. But yeah 5mg should be the lowest dose right. Might not be massively impactful. Hopefully it goes ok. Taper it down and see how it goes.
