is it known what percentage of people withdrawal easily benzos?

I am curious and think that the percent is high because doctors dont know nothing about horrific withdrawal and FDA does nothing although we struggle. Are we minority? I dont what to think.

I read that 40% will have a withdrawal and 60% won’t. Of that 40% only 10% go into PAWS.

Sounds fair to me...

 

One thing that throws it out a bit is misdiagnoses of wd sx... So Drs may be seeing more people in WD than they think, but treat it as another "condition"...

 

I do think its important to know where we sit in the bigger picture...

I’ve heard & read this as well. This is what leads me to believe why most doctors don’t believe or care to investigate all the well documented side effects of taking this medication for longer periods of time. Although, with current prescription rates rising, I do feel that there will b more light shed on the negative aspects sometime in the near future. I’ve actually heard Dr. Drew Pinsky speak on this topic & state that benzo’s r currently the US’s silent epidemic that is only going to get worse.

I just looked at my doctor's message to me who rapid tapered me off. He said I will have mild w/d and that I should see someone to treat the underlying anxiety which was there before which will come back. lol. If only it was this simple.
