Heart Rate and Palpations Worst symptom!

[...]

Recommended Posts

Three months off my worst symptom is Irregular and rapid heart beat and palpations. I've to take Propondol 2 times a day  I try to take 5mg but anything less than 10mg doesnot work for me. I'm thinking to relapse on Xanax . At least on Xanax I got no palpations and rapid heart beat.

This spike has been going on since 2 weeks and its freaking me out. It happens as I eat something and heart will shoot out no matter what I eat. Than it will come down after 5 hours if I take no beta blocker.

Worst feeling ever.!

this was a very severe symptom for me in the beginning.  I am 4 months out.  It was really bad the first month and a half.  No i have a little bit of tachycardia here and there but no palpitations.  It will get better.  I was told to take magnesium .  Might give it a try.  It will get better.

I’m in month 5, heart palps are still bad (not as bad as months 1-4).  However, I could only hope this was my worst sxs out of 40+ at once.  I’m living a nightmare.

Have you had heart rate checked by doc?  I won’t, nor will I ever take another Xanax.

Hope healing is faster for all of us.

Fast heart beat and palpitations have been some of my most persistent symptoms. I jumped 21 days ago and I still have them, they are more noticeable after I eat. I had all sort of tests and although my rapid heartbeat was extreme, my heart is fine. I was prescribed metroprolol, but I never took it, doctor then prescribed propranolol and I have taken it only once. Check with your doctor, but I understand metroprolol is better For everyday use. I’ve thought a million times about reinstating, but I haven’t. Magnesium is also supposed to help, I’ll give it another try, I haven’t been consistent with it.

This is rough ride for sure.

Good luck.

This is my worst problem as well . I am also halfway through month 5 and I cannot find a dr where I currently live to say it is anything besides anxiety which really angers me . I cannot turn anxiety off and on like a switch . If you start to recline me it will stop and go to pre withdrawal norms. sit me up and it will go to 79-95 stand me and the sky is the freaking limit . 67 was my norm sitting or standing

I cannot take a beta blocker because my heart will also drop to 45 out of the blue and stay awhile then back up to 97 or 111 then drop back to 50 . Very unstable and anxiety cannot do that .

The first few months mine would do like yours and it was hard to eat . It lasted about as long as you say your does . Frustrating .

It is altogether slowly slowing down - 125-130 instead of 168 . I wear a little HR monitor because I have learned to ignore it to the point that I use it to tell me when it is so high I must sit down.

If this continues I have got to find a dr that will take the time to check this out .

The Dr's not believing me is very tiring .

BlueDutchess,

Have you tried magnesium?

It’s often prescribed for tachycardia.

I’m giving it another try.

YEs , I had my last dose of mag in Feb . It causes my heart to really pound and I had really bad anxiety with it . It was terrible , I was able to use it for awhile then it really turned on my badly .

It wont stop this though , it is something else doing this , It is receiving bad signals from my nervous system or my heart was damaged somehow in the years of using this cra*.

Like I said If I lay or recline it goes to normal or even VERY low ( like low ( 40's) and my BP is finally high enough to be normal . It was 80/50 for the longest and I felt really bad . Stand back up and it flies right up . SOME days now I can stand and it will be in high 80's 90's and I have hope , it's only for a few hours off and on .

Thats what happened to me.  Things would gett better for 30 minutes or an hour and then finally it went away completely.  Sounds like you are having short windows and thats why it gos away for 15, 30 min or an hour.  That's what was happening to me.  But if it makes you feel better go get it checked out.  I did and everything was fine.
