Sustained panic attack or adrenaline/cortisol surge.

I stepped off 12 days ago from a long difficult taper. Every morning I go into what seems like a panic state- sustained like hours and hours in morning and usually dies down by afternoon. During this time, I get heart palpitations, chests tightness, and inner pressure/trembling revs up. I worry about my heart as I can feel it pounding, skipping, but also fluctuating 10-20 BPM every few seconds. I use a fitbit, bp machine, and even doctors have commented that it speeds up and slows down like it's trying to regulate. They told me I have dysautonomia (from WD) so now with this new panic state symptoms I worry about my heart. It’s like the adrenaline is too much for it. This usually starts around 8 am and lasts until, getting worse and worse until it breaks by 11:30 am or 1 pm.  I'll shiver and tremble a bit too. I feel like I want to escape. My burning skin revs up and I feel like poison acid has been pumped through me. This is different from the fear and anxiety, which I also get. If this is a panic attack, I thought they were only supposed to last for 30-60 minutes before your body runs out of steam.

I have a structurally sound heart (did tests) and did not have  anxiety until the mirtazapine WD and K taper.

Did anyone else experience this in acute? Did it get better?

I really hope that Live4Love responds to this post.. she was under the impression that she has a heart condition with the same symptoms that you have and was cleared yesterday as being perfectly healthy (heart wise).  It is just awful feeling like your body is not being driven by you but that is the chemically induces anxiety that we are talking about in other posts.  IT DOES END! I had it for a good 6 weeks and then on and off in waves.  After six months; it left the building for good (I hope!).

My God, during acute (I cold turkeyed) I seriously thought I might die quite often. It was horrendous. My heart was freaking out the whole time. It was reckless not to taper off.
