Hypothetical question

Would I have been suffering to this extent and this duration if I had taken a z-drug those 10 fateful days instead of Klonopin last year? I just needed something to help me sleep for a week, not to have 12 months of suffering.

 

My CNS was clearly compromised from previous psych med use and brief use of Saw Palmetto extract (post-Finasteride syndrome) and I don’t know if I kindled from this use, though it honestly sounds like it. And who knows what role the adjacent use of the steroids played in all of this.

Sadly not much improvement. A laundry list of physical and mental symptoms I never had in my life.

Can be withdrawal for a week on. I cant believe. Do you have life circumstances to feel this way?

Nope. Was happy and healthy. Got anxiety-induced insomnia  from tinnitus from a severe ear infection and when I quit all hell broke loose. Haven’t slept right since, amongst other horrific symptoms.

I know how obsessive thoughts can go though. I keep thinking if I could just quit my job and live with my parents, maybe I would get better. But who honestly knows. It could make it worse. I just don't want to become a hermit.

It can happen with AD's, benzos, z-drugs, over the counter, anti-biotics and I'm sure many more.

happens with any kind of substance that has an effect on your brain. in another topic I just read that they put z-drugs on the black list in the US.

I think your reaction to the z-drug can really happen. I would not touch any kind of psycho-med again, no matter if AD, benzo, z-drug - whatever. In the end they all mess up the brain.

In your shoes I would not take anything like that again and focus on other stuff and a healthy lifestyle/ diet. Thats all you can do.
