6 weeks out- nausea in head and stomach

Hello

I am new to the site, I posted in "introductions" but nobody has replied.

So I am 6 weeks out from Diazepam, I had nausea on and off once I got down to around 2mg, the last few weeks I sometimes wake in the morning with a nauseous feeling in my head, kind of like a sickly feeling, it then heads down to my tummy, once I am up it leaves after a little while but it leaves a dull headache, my gp says its w/d and anxiety. The benzo support place a call said the same and that it is common, one of the guys I speak to there had it too, I have seen some posts on BB about it but not many.

I get it that our brain and stomach are connected and that you can feel sick in both places but I was hoping someone would reply from BB to maybe let me know if it lasts a long time or if there is anything that will help it, I drink ginger tea and take ginger root capsules, i have tried OTC anti sickness tablets but they don't really help.

I have many other symptoms just like you lot do but have had a few hours on a few days that have been a bit better and I have been able to get out for walks go to get some food shopping and visit my son, I suppose these are "windows" I try really hard to be positive and just keep going but the nausea is really getting me down.

I have been lurking on the site for a while now but only registered last week, I am alone most of the time as my husband works and the friends I have left work too, it's a lonely time.

You BB's are great in the support you give each other, I hope I can offer support too.

Hi there! I just want to say hang in there! You seem to have a good attitude and it is a windy bumpy up and down road. I am now 7 months out. I have had many many symptoms. Nausea is one I only had briefly in the first month or two. It did leave and now I only get it occasionally. I seem to have alot ofhead pain pressure, tingling on my scalp, tight muscles on my head, neck and face. I have noticed my stomach has been feeling not so much nauseous, but more sick feeling, my head too, this was doing alot better until a stressful event put me in a wave. But it will get better for you. Ginger is a good remedy for nausea. Also some organic lemon juice in water helps too just sip on it through out the day.

Wish you well!

Eliza

Hello Eliza

Thank you for your reply, yes it's a sickly feeling, I don't vomit just feel sick in my stomach and sometimes a sickly feeling in my head.

I get the tingling feeling in my scalp too and some head pressure, spaced out feeling, light headed and sometimes a bit dizzy, I am now just over 6 weeks off the diazepam and have made some improvements of some symptoms but the nausea knocks me for six every morning!

Hope and healing for all of us.

PO  :)
