What exactly is this symptom?

So my most bothersome symptom is this feeling like I'm walking on egg shells.  It doesn't take much to make my heart rate go up.  But I have the feeling whether my heart rate is high or not.  I don't know if its anxiety.... to me it seems different.  Like when I walk up the stairs or sometimes just walking.... i notice i cross my arms as if to alleviate the feeling.  I really don't think that does anything.  I just feel like a snail without a shell.  Just sensitive.  Anyone have this or know what it is?  Did it go away for anyone? and how long did it last?  This is my worst symptom.  All the other symptoms are pretty manageable.

Sounds to me like it's anxiety.  From your description it seems like it's relatively low level but it can build.  Notice the rest of your body.  Is your breathing shallow?  Are you shoulders scrunched?  Is your neck tight or stiff?  Do you not know what to do with your hands or yourself?  What could you be doing or walking towards that makes you anxious?  A good solution for me is to notice when it happens and try to relax and stay calm.  I'll try to breathe deeply and consistently.  Swing my arms or yell out loud if I think it'll help.  I let any anxious thoughts come and don't fight them, realize what in the environment might be causing me to walk on egg shells and try to neutralize it.  Don't stay in your head.  Try to ground yourself.  Good luck!

i think anxiety might be mixed into but I really don't feel like I'm in an anxious state.  Its like my whole central nervous system is easily excitable.  It really sucks.  Its not as bad when im sitting or laying down.  its worse when I try to get out and do stuff.

I have the same feeling I think as well.  Only comes on when I'm doing stuff too.  When I'm doing something like preparing a meal in the kitchen I feel like everything begins to race and my heart starts beating a little faster.  Almost like everything I do is clumsy and sometimes shaky.  Is this a good way to describe it?  Is this similar to what you are feeling?

Sounds like you’re hyper alert to physical symptoms. Totally normal. I can’t recommend this site enough whether in withdrawal or not. www.cbt4panic.org
