No I've never been THIS bad before! You try going through this and "riding it out!" You wouldn't make it 2 minutes in this torment!

I havnt noticed a post in a while, -Its good to hear from you..!! Wish it were in better circumstance though...

 

Are you fully crossed over to V, I cant quite remember...

What were your updose details again..?? or is your sig current..? Some dates earlier in your sig, even if just a guide might help a little, -but when you can...

 

To your specific question, Mine worked quick, hours, to a day.. -Perhaps a couple of days progressivly, at low dose... I doubt my situation reflects yours in this...

 

From what I have read, It can take a few weeks, and have a varied effectivness... I guess the longer it takes, possibly the more subtle the, or any effects... My thoughts are probably reflecting on reinstatements a bit too here... Sorry...

Nova started The Updose Support Group some time ago, The start and content of which may give you some indication...

 

I dont have an opinion on what you should do "big picture wise" either, Sorry... Every way I look at it has a possible opposite outcome... Im not sure that were I you, that I would do nothing either, once waiting a month or two for an updose to work.. And even that would be generous in my case...

 

I would search my history for indications or events that could help me decide as to somehow getting off fast, if toxic or paradoxical type things were evident... OR, To hunt for some stability or relief, perhaps by updose or alternative benzo (as you are..).. Maybe committing to a constant slower taper and hanging on as best you possibly can has merit..?? -If even possible..??

 

The trouble is that as FI indicated, To Hold on, is just as viable as anything else might be, and probably overall -safer... The hope would be that time would give you atleast some indication as to which way to go..

All this assuming there isnt something non "WD" contributing somehow...

 

If its going to be hell, lets try and make it hell in the right direction and for the least time possible, -not just to get off med, but hopefully to feeling very much better...

 

Sorry, as usual, this is all pretty general as we are all respond differently etc... And its probably nothing new...

IF you can find some "stability" or a tollerable position, Then doors start to open, and im sure we can work with that...

 

I hope you get some more personal support here, -and letting out some frustration is good too...

Signature current. Crossed over the right way. Even held on K an extra week while adding in a little more V. Nó relief. Been holding on the V after cross for couple months now and WAY WORSE reasy to end it every second everyday now

Have been on 5mg V and updosed to 10mg 2 weeks ago. Had 1% relief for like a week and now back in beyond hell

You sound in real anguish, I am so sorry. Your updose will be stable by now, so it’s possibly just a blxxdy Diaz thing.

I became tolerant to Diaz and the only way was to restart taper.

If you are extremely restless then an antihistamine might help, it did help me.

I agree with what builder said. Valium is low potency but it will usually work if an equivalent dose is used to crossover. That was my experience at least.

It sure has been one hell of a journey for you, and I hope something comes to light for you, and you start to feel better...

 

In any normal situation 10v should have you pretty covered by now, imo... -as I see others have mentioned..

Perhaps something to help would be a good idea at this point...??

 

Please hold on, -and get appropriate support if needed with certain thoughts...

As I recall, it took about a week for my updose to work.

 

Dickie's idea of an antihistamine for anxiety is a good one. I'd forgotten that! My doc prescribed Vistaril (hydroxyzine) for akisthesia and for general attacks of anxiety. It's good for sleeping, too. It makes you pretty sedated.

 

Hope you are doing better. You sure deserve a break.

When I switched and crossed and all that months ago I was only supposed to be on 2mg - 3mg V but too severe too cut and weigh so already updosed to 5mg then held after cross for a couple months nó relief. SOOO much worse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I updosed to 10mg 2 1/2 weeks ago and still no relief!!! Wanna die every second everyday and night!!! 1 second away from ending it.

I heard antihistamines can cause akathisia so i'm so afraid it will make me worse and send me over the edge like I hear anything can make worse.

Pink, Please ensure that your safe, There is so much empathy for you here, but sadly we realy cant properly address that here.. And speaking for myself, I know my words would sound hollow...

I like to think there will be a huge BB "Pink IS Healed" party one day soon... And I hope that doesnt sound flippant, -if thats the right word...?

 

Its not like you just dont know what to do, and simply need the right advice to follow so all will be well...  Well not in simplistic terms like that atleast...

Im not saying your situation will need some extra special insight or complex solution, just the right approach for YOU...

I wish I could help better, but as mentioned, for every option I see there is a "but"... I just dont have the knowledge or experience to know how some of these things play out...

 

In addition to those that have posted, I do hope that more people will read your post and there will be others that have walked your path and have insight too.. Im not sure where to go on the V updose, considering its apparent lack of effect.. Easy to say give it more time (as I did), -But...

 

I must run, I have to go out tonight, but I just wanted to touch base and assure you you are not on your own...  Pls also try to remember the simpler things you might do to help, -breathing, distraction, etc.. -I imagine you have your own ways...

i tried going to Diaz.  from my Ativan. i could only last 2  or 3 days on diaz.  it was like taking an aspirin and didn't take the edge of anything.  i am so sorry for you, pink. i am where you are now, minus the akathsia.  but, i have muscle aches , etc.    now, what i was told about Diaz. and this may be why it doesn't seem to work for me, is that it takes about 12 certain enzymes in our body to metabolize it.  my ativan only takes one measly enzyme. no wonder my body loves ativan.  so, maybe my body and yours might not process or have the certain enzymes to process diaz.  i know a lot of people rave and hoorah for it , but, i did not find relief. i am going to ask my my provider on 17th, to let me have another shot with it, in case i did not give it long enough try.  because Ativan is short term and i am scared and sick at this point.  20 days in tapering.
