sensory overload feeling

who at a year off has extreme sensory overload, I mean extreme!!!!! cant go outside, cant listen to people talking. I walked to get the mail and felt over loaded right away. loud sounds and bright lights send me into a panic. please help. does this go away.

I was still extremely symptomatic at a year off,  and began seeing noticabe relief at about 18 months off.  Unfortunately, it tales many of us well over a year to heal, especially after ct's or fast tapers.  You'll get there!

Megan 918, why was your sensory overload like? do you see a lot of buddies posting about this?

Like I've told you before, I had extreme sensory sensitivity at a year off. I think it lasted until month 15 or so, after that it improved dramatically. I'm currently at ~18 months off and it is definitely A LOT better. I still have it, but my threshold for sensory overload is much, much higher. I remember not even being able to look at the computer screen for even five minutes without it being too much. Or noises/music. I'm still very jumpy, but my goodness, up until month 14/15  the tiniest crack in the house at night would startle me like a train driving by honking its loud horn.
