I have driven many people out of my life with this hell.  Unfortunately you found out who your real friends are.  I'm sorry you're struggling.  If you wait and fear what hasn't happened yet then you will never heal from this.  I am scared to death...I think we all are.  We are all going through it with you, don't forget.

Only been on 1mg of K for 5-6 months. Seroquel 150 XR. I saw a new doc to for a taper. Im currently at .75mg and tapered to 125mg Seroquel last night. He wants me to cut Seroquel to 125mg and .5mg of K for 3 weeks and see how it goes. He even mention Valium crossover 3 weeks from now before I said anything to him. He's been practicing for 48 years in Internal Medince specialist. So he thought I should slow taper which was amazing to me and will help me with any serious WD problem I may have. So I'll try his way for a few weeks but if I start feeling real bad to come see him pronto. Taper plan is Seroquel first for 2-3 weeks and reduce to 100mg IR and reduce .5mg and hold for 3 weeks than plan on a Valium crossover at that time. He seems to not rush things either which I'm surprised at. I just get scared of the bad horror stories from other people or possible WD i'll have maybe. I just maybe over reacting and to go with the flow to decrease my anxiety of the future. :-\

Sounds like you like and trust your doctor trench, so why not follow his advice and "see how it goes"?  He seems open to a change in plans if the cuts don't work for you.  Also good to see that he is versed in Valium crossover.

It's an exercise in futility to imagine, project, what might lay ahead trench, it might work out just fine.  We will never know until we try. Your goal IS to get off completely, why not 'test the waters'.

I've stopped telling others of my plight.  Broke my rule 2 days ago and told my sister.  Her eyes rolled into a patroning smile.  ::)  Forget it, I'd rather bat on my own, and come here for support and knowledge.

You can do it trench.

Thanks Takingon 💕

It's so difficult to discern, but overall, I do think I am improving.  We all have symptoms, only difference being, is that they are 'different',  :), so won't list mine.

It seems that all symptoms are still present, but reduced.  A gradual waxing and waning of each and all.

I'm counting it as progress Takingon.  The way I'm going I'll take anything.

Yes, progress.  Slow, non linear.

The eternal flame will never be extinguished.  Benzo's will.

Just another way of saying, keep the faith, and hold the line.

IS it true that most people go through WD with little or no sx's?!

The numbers are estimated.  I have not heard of 'no' symptoms but I have only been at this for 7 months.

As individuals, I guess there are sensitive people and then there are SENSITIVE people -- for the most part, while my taper has been imperfect, I have had few symptoms on the way down and they were cyclical and somewhat predictable.  Looking back I would say it has been tolerable or easy, but it has not been free of symptoms.  Penny and the others are correct. If we can reduce that fear and find what works for us, we ease our way.  I have seen a number of people state that once they got a good handle on their taper and knew what to expect from their body/cns it got better.

Your doctor sounds like a good one  :)

Keep the faith, TM2 - it could go much better than you think!

I read somewhere up to 30% have symptoms and up to 10% have some sort of permanent side effects.
