rejected treatment...kind words needed

So I'm on very low doses on both my morning and night pill. I decided after having a pretty rough taper that I wanted to go into a detox and have them yank me off the rest and monitor me. Well, after going to multiple facilities I was rejected from treatment. I was told I am not on enough to feel sick. That it's all in my head, that I'm just paranoid. It really fucked with my head hearing doctor after doctor tell me I'm imagining this, and actually tell me to stay on klonipin! Literally, a detox doctor told me I should updose and stay on pins.. Can you believe that? I ended the day having a script written for hydroxyzine, as I am taking benedryl regularly anyway.. My mom is going to set me up with her doctor and hopefully I can get some trazedone for sleep or something. Idk guys. I'm feeling down today. I'm feeling more manageable discomfort, but its discomfort. I'm day 5 into a hold and I'm cutting much slower now as to not hit the wall anymore..it's become detrimental to my mind state everytime I have to pick up the pieces after a bad set of waves and I don't think that this will help me prepare for my inevitable jump. Any kind words you can spare today?

Wow that's so frustrating.  Honestly I don't think being at home is better than detox for so many reasons, so maybe this is a blessing in disguise.  It's definitely not all in your head.  These drugs can cause so many problems.  How are you feeling today?

Hey RileyJax-

The amount of klonopin you are taking(.011) is the equivalent to approx. .25mg Valium. It is my opinion (based on my own & many  others experiences) that at this level what you are more than likely feeling is symptoms of the process of healing.

When I jumped at .5mg V I felt exactly the same as when I was tapering. No different. It turned out (just as Ashton states) that at this level there is no therapeutic value. Maybe this is true for you too. It is my opinion that you would probably be feeling the same symptoms if you were totally off the benzo as you feel tapering this minut amount of benzo. Please consider this

This is interesting. If .25mg of Valium offers no therapeutic value then why are we advised to jump at .5??

I took my first dose of hydroxyzine and I vomitted like crazy. I'm now having worse waves than ever. I am really upset. I feel terrible. Should I just jump? I don't know what to do anymore.

Hey RileyJax-

You have tapered for along time. The dose you are on would be the approx. equivalent to .625mg Valium. Ashton says .5mg - 1mg is where the Benzo looses efficacy and it is safe to jump.  I would have jumped at the 1mg point if I had known then what I know now. You could safely jump now and expect to feel pretty much the same as you do now.

Since .07 milligrams of klonopin equals 1mg of diazepam do you think it would be safe to jump at that dose?

I have always use the 20mgV =1mgK when suggesting a jump point.

Due to the variance in equivalency tables,

.07mg x 20mg =1.4mg V equiv.

.07mg x 15mg =1.05mg V equiv.

So, just to clarify, I was calculating the equivalency going by the 20mgV= 1mgK

So if you use the 15mgV=1mgK  equivalency table it would be safe I guess :-\

Oh ok I use some website that converts it for me so I’m assuming that it is based on 15mgV=1mgK

How do I know what’s right? Lol

One way to tell is if you were to crossover from K to V. If you can cross from 1mgK to 15mgV and stabilize, it would be fair to say this was the appropriate equivalency. If you did not stabilize @ 15mg but say went up to 18mg and stabilized, then it would be fair to say this was your equivalent amount. Because everyone metabolizes the benzo differently it is hard to tell if one does not test the waters or do a crossover. To be safe, I would suggest going by the higher table (1mgK-20mgV) if I was not sure

Makes sense. Thanks!!
