I know alcohol is like liquid benzo. But I wonder when is it possible or is it possible to drink alcohol again? My doc said I had to wait 3 years without any w/d symptoms...is this really true? I miss drink a glass of wine...

I would say your doctors advice is reasonable,  even when we feel healed it seems the nervous system is still healing for a while longer, I've read many accounts from people who have had setbacks and attribute it to alcohol.  It is entirely possible you could drink and be OK but I think it's a big gamble.  Hopefully once you are healed you will feel so grateful for feeling normal again you won't even care for a drink.

I just tried drinking a glass of wine last nite at 25 months off, no good. Feel like I made a cut actually. I can drink beer fine though. Your doctor might be right.
