Yeah it's painful. I had severe gastritis too for a long time, still have flares of gastritis now and then, it's triggered by certain kinds of foods and drinks.

Omeprazole for a week is my go-to med. to heal the ulcers.

Be careful with the things you eat and drink.

Take care.

I am also tapering from Rivotril but it has been the worst of my symptoms. It is really so distressing but I just think it's due to what you eat.Any advice on this may be helpful too.I guess it is associated mostly with rivotril.

The thing is many of us have H pylori without symptoms and if in withdrawal the impact of meds can be negative

I believe in a healthy near vegan diet with supplements but others on this site think it’s placebo.

Either way

I hope you heal

It is due to the medication definitely, I follow a “mostly” vegetarian diet, No red meats (fish and chicken breast only) no citrus fruit (pinnaples, oranges, lemon, even mango), avoid tomatoes.

I eat a lot of yoghurt and papaya, also taking aloe vera caps (looking for the plant).

Pantoprazole 40 mg works bettter on empty stomach in the morning (as told by my gastroenterologist)

Let me know if you have any questions

Pd. I have gastritis +Ibs

Much love

Thank you very much, I am feeling better today, since our digestive system is filled with receptors, I blame all the stress our poor bodies go through on benzos

Alkaline water helps also!

Much love
