does the overstimulation really go away? I feel that the overstimulation and my dp/dr is hanging on forever. Just went to the park to do a community Easter egg with my 3 year old and once again it never fails when im out the overstimulation head feeling comes on and im screwed for the day. It completely takes over my head and makes me feel drink, unable to concentrate, horrid awful feeling. Ashton manual and a few others say this can be permanent. im a year off and no better when being out in public than when I first jumped. I mean come on I cant be out for 10 mins. not even out in my back yard. I believe this is permanent and in this case there is no way in hell I could live like this.

I have a similar issue.  I go outside to get the newspaper, daily.  5 minutes in and my brain starts to go into overstimulation.  Then everything is awful for the remainder of the day.  No matter what I do.  I see people out for early morning walks and I can’t pick up a newspaper.  It’s very distressing.

No, I have not read anything that said it is permanent.  Of course, my brain is mush I may not have retained it.  :(

ToH1O1-  You may be having prolonged problems due to an underlying nutritional issue. Have you seen a Naturopath or Orthomolecular Doctor? They can run spit tests, etc. to help ferret out what enzyme or metabolite might be causing this. I know money doesn't grow on trees, but you can at least be evaluated. Are you taking any supplements?

If you've taken antibiotics for acne or had chronic sinus issues, it plays havoc with gut flora. The gut (2nd brain) will cause all kinds of symptoms. Cheap helper: Probiotics or eating kefir, etc. can repopulate the gut. Also "free" is to lean toward a keto diet- decreases brain excitability.  Don't fast or skip meals

as that turns on adrenals, causing symptoms.

Got a friend who uses Relora (natural relaxant) to help cope. Says it works great.

Don't give up. Think about withdrawal like this: If you had been in a major car accident, would a year be enough time to recover?  Probably not. Continued symptoms are annoying, and discouraging, but not endless.  Investigate changes you can make to help the healing.  It gives you back a sense of control.

Hohhot- thanks so much for responding. I have been seeing a fictional dr. ive had countless tests done, all come up normal except a few vitamins d and ferritin. im taking those supplements now. I eat probiotic yogurt plus fermnined foods. I follow a low carb, no sugar diet, no caffeine, alcohol etc. im just so scared because of my fast taper that I screwed myself and in wont heal.
