120mg Valium half year ago, now on 6 mg...

Hi everyone :D

So, i'm in my last stage from tapering Valium. From 120 mg last year september to 6mg today. I'm actually very happy that i made it so far without any complaints. 10 days ago i hit a wall and now i prefer tapering a little slower. My taperingscedule was more or less in the beginning 10mg every ten days. Then 2,5 mg every week untill i came to 10mg a day. Then i had to cut only 1 or 2mg a week. Now it's the tenth day i'm taking 6mg and triying to stabilize. I have the flue, don't know it is from tapering because my daughters also have it so not sure. Thank you medics (i have some good ones, understandfull and very helpfull). They let me taper my way. I mostly have been tapering the ashtonway when i hit the 40mg. Thank god there was a way!! Medics and family are proud of me. I found Valium very very helpfull, now i know why medics don't prescribe valium so easy. It's the last option for a succesfull taper!! I know, still have 6mg to taper but i don't believe it will be hard. Most important thing is that you really really want to quit this monster, have a good docter and loads of love from friends and family.

Strength for all of you, suffering from this beast. Kick his ass, show who's the boss. Take your time and you will suffer less.

Wow!  You've come a long way in a short time.  That's fantastic!

Yes, quitting the monster is the goal and slow and steady wins the race.

All the best...

Congrats on your Taper success !!! My taper story is very similar, I started tapering down from 6mg Xanax (120mg Valium Equivalent) back in April of 2018 and I was able to c/o to Librium and taper down to 15mg of Librium (6mg Valium Equivalent) in 8 months, at that is where I hit a wall, I wonder why the 6mg Valium or Equivalent has been a difficult dose to overcome, I tried to taper down to 10mg Librium back in January and it didn't work for me I had stay on the 15mg for 3 months and after stabilizing I've been able to taper down to 12.5mg, I wish you the best on the balance of your taper, I plan on cutting by 10% every 3 weeks until I'm off from here on in, hopefully we both complete our tapers within a few months and get rid of this poison forever.

Great Job Keep it Going !!!

Kind Regards

Terry

Yup the pain seems to start at about 15 of Diaz Terry.

You could take it slower I guess. ?

I am holding on 15 for 3 weeks as jumped Seroquel which has floored me.

Yours Dick.

Hi Dick,

I feel at this point that 1 year of tapering is pretty much enough, I finally did stabilize on Librium, it took 8 months after I crossed over

however I now know that I can jump off sooner than I had expected (Thank God), I do not plan on tapering any longer than July, I'll see how

I feel after the latest 2.5mg cut and go from there, right now I plan on 3 more cuts and then a jump at 2.5mg somewhere in between 30-90 days

depending on how I feel after each cut, I'm getting closer, the Benzo is really just in the way of my healing at this point.

Good Health to Everyone lets beat the beast !

Kindest Regards

Terry
