No, I don't think a blood transfusion will help Anxiousmama.  Reason being, I don't think you need one.  And that sounds like a good thing.

 

Many of us here have/had hyperchondriasis AM.  I think you have taken it to the next level, where you are convinced that all is lost.  Some might call it delusional (WD can do this), I choose to call it super hyperchondriasis.    It must be very scary for you, because I know how scary 'standard' hypochondriasis can be. 

 

The drug will not remain in your system AM.  It will degrade, and eventually leave, permanently. 

Try to believe this AM. 

 

I hope you start to at least entertain the idea that what you are enduring is hyperchondriasis, magnified.  At least that's what I believe. 

 

Withdrawal from these drugs can really bend and distort our thinking, but eventually we will be returned to our good selves.  And therein lies the miracle.  We just had to believe, and wait.

Adjusta, Forty & Dee r all absolutely right, this is part of the OCD of wd. You constantly think that all these things r happening to ur body bc of all the weird feelings & sensations ur having but u haven’t had any definitive diagnosis from a doctor. U continue to self diagnose & let ur mind control u instead of trying to control ur mind. I know bc I went through the same experience. There’s a lot of buddies that have. If u don’t try to accept that this is withdrawal & that it will pass ur just going to continue to keep urself in a high state of stress & worry. Try listening to the advice that these buddies r giving u bc if u don’t ur just going to make this entire process even more difficult than it already is.

I think Anxiousmama thought maybe a blood transfusion would give her a 'whole new blood system', free from any 'accumulated' drug.  Keith Richards tried it in the 1970's. 

 

He didn't need it either (but he had the money), because the drugs he was using had an even shorter half life.

In trying to be brief sometimes things are omitted.

 

Elimination of the drug will occur Anxiousmama, despite your fears.  Laws of physics, or something. 

 

It's not your blood that needs changing, it's the repair and reregulation of our CNS that we seek.
