H101,

Hugs girlfriend.  You've got this.

From what you typed it actually sounds like your symptoms are similar every day.

But symptoms do wax and wane and they seem to change constantly.

I can't count how many times I've woke up and thought "Oh, THIS is how I'm going to feel today??"

And then the next day I'd wake up feeling better . . . or worse . . . whatever the symptoms decided they want to do.

What I can tell you is that I had all those same symptoms.  And they've faded tremendously.

I still have a lot of mental stuff going on (racing brain, cog/brain fog, memory issues, feeling weird, mild anxiety, etc.)

I also cry a lot lately.

I'm worry at times that this is the new me.

But then I look back and realize WOW I've come a long way!

But I'm still looking for that "peace" that so many talk about in their success stories.

But it will come.  We just have to be patient.

I hope you will re-read Baylissa's book from front to back.  It's SO reassuring to me and gives so much hope.

EVERY symptom that you mention in your post has been talked about here by someone at least 1,000 times.  They are very very common symptoms of both Benzo and AD withdrawal.  One year out is early.  But the good news is that you're through acute and it will only get better from here. Yes, there will be some bad days that make you feel like you're worse . . . but then eventually it's back up again and the non linear graph of healing is going back in the right direction.

Just the other day I said to another BB friend - Wow, today is a "bad" day (wave), but 6 months ago if I felt like this I would have considered it a window.  And then I laughed because I realized how true it was.  It's up and down and up and down . . . but it's always healing.  Always.

Hang in there.

Love you girl.

Fakeit

I was feeling 95% two weeks ago then I got a cold and took cold meds for about a week and all of my symptoms have ramped up. I feel much like you describe on a daily basis recently. Just two weeks ago I thought I was through the worst of it. I feel like Im one step forward and two steps back in my recovery.
