DLMT Schedule

[...]

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Based on Builder's feedback, I believe I have developed a DLMT schedule (see below).  My questions are:

1) Is my math right?

1) What do you think of this approach?  Is it too slow and if so, why? And what would be a more reasonable speed?

Would appreciate any input I could get.  I have a doctor appointment on Monday morning and would like to have this figured out before then so that I can go to her with a proposal, if possible.

I hope to get her to prescribe me a compounded liquid lorazepam prescription that is 0.25 mg/ mL (the smallest the compounding pharmacy told me they could make).

I'm currently taking 2.75 mg of lorazepam daily.

I believe I want to cut 5% every 2 weeks.

2.75 mg x 5% = 0.138 mg

0.138 mg/ 14 days = .01 mg per day cut rate

DLMT

2.75 mg = 11 mL

2.74 mg = 10.9 mL

2.73 mg = 10.8 mL

2.72 mg = 10.7 mL

and so on...

Is that right mathematically?  Is it too slow?

How are you making your solution?

If 2.75mg =11ml then 1ml=.25mg (2.75mg/11ml=.25mg per ml)

If you reduce .1ml per day you are actually reducing .025mg per day(.25/10=.025mg)

I'm not making my own solution.  I'm hoping to get a prescription for compounded liquid lorazepam with a strength of 0.25 mg/ mL.  The strength of the prescription I have now is 2 mg/ mL which is impossible to taper off of.

...but if you dilute that 19:1, then it's 2mg=20ml, or.1mg=1ml.
