Scary things are coming really soon

I am going on a concert in Stockholm next friday ( I am Swedish)

I have a hotel room 100 m from the arena. Gonna stay there one night. Really scary. Not sleep in my bed...

The 5/8 am I going on a 15 hour long roadtrip to the north of Germany incl boat for 8 hours . Are gonna join a festival with music and happy people. Gonna stay away for 5 days

My WORST fear is that I am gonna loose it. Become insane and freak out big time. I have been out a lot from my home. Even 100 km away.

Will I loose it? My dr dp is horrible but it is that crap even when I am at home. I am 19 months off next week. I am aick and tired of being stucked in my home. It feels like a prision. I am stucked with this body and brain right now. All I can do is to accept this for now. But It makes me so sad and afraid that this is permanent. My husbund said...Sun...fake it until you make it.

We are going to Germany in a big mobile home...

Have anyone been away for a week like camping...during PAWS

My DR DP and inner vibrations is severe. The only thing that works and help little is distraction...Think I will get that on a festival but my sensitive to some noice can be awful. .Damn I am so afraid. But I need to take back some part of my normal life...fake it over and over. .. :D

I would encourage you to "fake it" and live life the best you can.

I've traveled and attended Elton John's final concert and am glad I did.  It can be tough with the buring and inner vibes but doable.

You are resilient and have tremendous courage; enjoy your time away!!

I think this could be really good for you. I'm on day 5 of a road trip to buy a house 600miles away and I don't want to go home. Not really home but the place my husband was working when this all happened. I'm much happier and have hardly any symptoms besides my POTS and even that is much better. Husband packs my electrolyte drink and the food I normally eat and I try to stay on my schedule. I feel like me again. Rest as much as you can , when you can .

For the first 8 months of my w/d I couldn't even THINK of travel.  I would watch someone win a trip on a gameshow and think "who would want to do THAT?".  It scared the pants off me.

Finally, I had no choice.  Something in me said I have go to see my family in PA.  So I booked a trip for Thanksgiving.

It was SO good I went back for Christmas!!

I will always consider that a stepping stone in my journey that led to more healing.  The airport was scary as all getout and I spent hours on the phone with a BenzoBuddy friend because my flight got delayed 3 hours and I had DP/DR rather bad at the time . . . my symptoms were still pretty prevalent as far as anxiety and stuff.  But by the time I got home and realized I did it, it REALLY gave me hope that I was going to be alright and I started healing at a faster pace I believe.

You may have some moments where you feel off or weird or whatever . . . but just observe the feelings.  Don't let them define you or ruin a great time.  You're not going to flip out or anything like that!  :)

I can't wait to hear how it was when you return!!
