Haven't slept for 3 days :(

Help!! I have never had problems with insomnia before..but starting about 2 weeks ago, I started waking up with a pounding heart, I managed to calm down and go back to sleep on 2 or 3 occasions, but then after that I went to the ER as I had trouble getting it to calm down and it frightened me. Now after this I haven't been able to sleep since. I start to nod off and my heart will immediately start to pound and wake me up. Three nights of no sleep at all. I am beside myself and dont know what to do.

 

I suffer from panic disorder on top of all this so I am a real mess.

 

I dont like the idea of taking anything, but I took an antihistamine last night and it did nothing. It was only 25 mg of diphenhydramine though.
