Has anyone got stuck at 2mgs valium? I cannot progress, much as I try

Hi

I am in need of help  as am stuck at 2mgs Valium. I have held for around 5  weeks, and in the last week or so have tried to go down a tiny amount,

I tried the RX liquid ratio 2.mg=5mls liquid, thinking I would use this to do a liquid titration, I did not reduce the dose, However it made my symptoms worse, so I went back to tablets and tried chipping a bit off but that is  too inaccurate at such a low dose and my scales or not reliable, so then I thought  DLMT and am now on day 3 reducing  .01mg a day, and today I am in a real state. I have been frozen with fear all day, Numb everywhere.  I am not stable, and never have been,

even with holds. I am not sure what to do now as I keep going back to 2mgs, never getting past 2 days of trying to remove a very small amount.

I do not know what others have done who are tapering whilst unstable. Do I go back to 2mg again and hold longer as I have only dropped .02mgs . as yet. I am so mixed up and terrified. I cannot tell whether this is my underlying anxiety state and the fear of cuts, though I managed from 4mgs to 2mgs. I just cannot seem to get any lower.

Has anyone got any advice . I really do need some help.

Jen

Run the 2mg pill once along an emery board to produce 'fairy dust' Valium.  Imo, the dust would be equivalent to what I see people here describe as "vapours".  Nothingness.

This might give you the confidence to proceed further.

Thank you Dee. I haven't tried that. Do you do that once over the tablet then hold? and then twice and hold? Do you just follow the  symptoms?

I am so desperate to remove Valium before it does more harm.

Why not make one swipe to begin, then hold for the amount time it usually takes for you to start feeling symptoms?

If ok make another swipe, maybe two?  Experiment with it.  But start with one, then wait.

Does your pharmacy have a compounding pharmacy or can they give a recommendation?  It may be worth working with your doctor to try to have your monthly prescription compounded into a pill format that works for your taper plan (i.e. if you're at 2 mg and want to drop .25 mg within the month have 30 1mg pills, 30 .5 mg pills and 60 .25 mg pills made to allow you to adjust yourself).  The accuracy of the pill formulation may help manage symptoms.  It also helps keep moving forward as Ashton writes about maintaining a slow but consistent and steady pace.  Certainly challenging towards the end when the fear of what comes next can be very triggering!

Hope you feel better.

Dont go back to 2mg but try to cut off 5-10 % off the pill every week. Sxs will decrease after 3/4 days and you will stabilize. For me it was difficult to taper off from 0.5 valium. So since january i have been tapering off very slow cause i can handle it better
