The symptom that bothers me the most is this weird momentary sensation that’s hard to explain. It’s like a drop or a rush. It only a moment but it’s VERY uncomfortable and some days can happen ALOT. It can happen any time but happens more when I’m trying to fall asleep, makes me jump out of bed like my soul got ripped out lol. I have a lot of heart symptoms so I assumed it’s my heart. In my mind it’s my heart stopping and feels like an adrenalin rush trying to keep it going.  :D:D benzos sure do make life a pleasure!

Definitely sounds like a rush of adrenaline. I’ve had these for quite some time, well over a year. It also usually happens when I start to drift off into deeper sleep & then jolts me awake. The intensity of this has decreased significantly & I finally feel like it’s going away. I don’t get it nearly as often as I used to either. Hang in there, by the time u become accustomed to it, it could very well start to fade.

This happened to me in the first year. Panicked, and so much palpitations. I could not sleep when it was quiet and dark. The TV was turned on, but without sound.

The worst thing, was that I was afraid of my own bedroom, so many unpleasant memories. So I slept on the couch for 2 years.

But now it's much better, and I'm calm when I'm going to sleep.

I had this one too. I long ago realized that describing this stuff is truly difficult.

But I did know what you felt like.

Benzos may make life a pleasure, but at such a huge price! Don't let those benzo lies get to you. Getting off benzos may turn out to be the absolute best thing you ever did.

Keep on going, friends. A better life waits you.

translater, I too was scared of my own bedroom.

I dealt with this by making my beds every single day, making everything all tucked in and petty, just to avoid my dread fears about that damn bed. My couch scared me even more, so I only sat on it for short times. Man, this stuff is SO freaking weird!!!

Please never give up. You will heal from this, and live a normal life again.....unless you reinstate. You guys are pretty tough and can do this.

BIG HUG!
