Anybody elses symptoms seem to get worse when the weather changes?

I get depressed as a mother when it's rainy out. Never had that problem before. Seems like maybe the lack of natural light makes me feel detached? I also get super stiff when it's cold? Is this a thing. Or is it all in my head?

I am the same way. As soon as clouds roll in I get absolutely brutal in the mood/energy department.  The second the sun comes out though, even if I am indoors it changes in an instant, super weird. Was not like this at all pre withdrawal.

With the cold, my hands and legs would start to seize up and at its worst felt like hypothermia mixed with a really strange panic attack. It's been better for me the last month but through most of the last year, even in the summer I would avoid going out in the evenings when it started to cool down because it got so bad.

Exactly the same here. This was one of my first signs of tolerance symptoms that I failed to notice! Light seeking behavior I called it. It's still quiet bad till today but improving. All of my symptoms are worse in dull, rainy or cold weather.

Of course. The moment clouds start to appear, even earlier, symptoms start to appear too.

Yes. I am going nuts now that it is beginning to snow here and the skies are gray. I don't know how I'm going to survive this winter.

Same here! Like the darkness sucks the light out of me. I just mentioned to my family I would like to invest in a sunshine lamp. Not sure how effective they are, but it's worth a try!

My sentiments exactly.....

I'm there right with you all!

On grey rainy days, nothing is right in the world, my joints hurt and I'm doing well if I can manage to get dressed...

Three or four consecutive days of that type of weather throws me for an emotional loop.

It always has been like this for me, even before benzos, (though it's definitely amplified with them.)

Many years ago, I took a summer school class in a city that was nearly always overcast/grey and I was utterly miserable.  Turned out to be a valuable experience though, as that was when I realized that I was absolutely affected by the weather ... I made a point to choose my first job in a place that had more sunny days than not.

When we updated our kitchen, the contractors laughed at me because of the amount of lighting that I wanted installed... "This kitchen is small - you don't need more than one ceiling light ... It's going to be too bright ... Your electric bill will be sorry ... No one installs this many lights ..."

Turns out that my (very small) kitchen is my lifeline space on grey days...

Wow! I was really starting to think that it was all somehow in my head. I am not sure how I will get through the winter either! And yes the light seeking behavior. I so get that!

I can not stand how dark my house is. I told my husband the next place we move has to have more lighting and windows!

I was looking forward to the season change this year because of the heat, now I have no idea what I was thinking.

Yes! I normally love the cooler weather!
