How much could a change in drug manufacturer make you?

I've been very ill for over a week now. Shortly before that my pharmacist changed the manufacturer of my Quetiapine. I am on a ridiculous amount of this (2x150mg per day). A buddy mentioned to me that the reason I feel so bad could be the change of brand. Is this possible or am I in a very bad wave? Thanks.

The different fillers in a medication can cause a person to metabolize it differently.  I had to list a certain manufacturer of klonopin as an "allergy" because when I took that brand, I actually went into withdrawal.  While different companies all have the same dose of active ingredients, the fillers can mess with how you metabolize it.  I had to get a new script.

Thank you so much for getting back to me. I feel terrible and very depressed. I am in bed and can't even go downstairs to do the washing up. I started back on my original brand yesterday. Gx
