Im15 months out

This has been my worst symptom by far. For about the first 8 months I didn't sleep much at all..like a few times a week. It made all my other symptoms worse not sleeping. But my symptoms are what cause me not to sleep. I have terrible paranoia, obsessive thinking, intrusive thoughts, adrenaline/cortisol rushes to the point where  they all together made sleep impossible for me to get. Around 8 months off is where i started to finally sleep some nights in a row. Before that never. And I'm only talking like 2 nights in a row then I wouldn't sleep like the bird night. I was so amped up. Then around 12 months I had a pretty good insomnia window that lasted into my 15th month off (where I am at now) but I did have a few nights of no sleep (very few). Now I'm back in a wave tho. And this is the first wave I had in awhile. Started because I got the flu. Now I feel like I'm back in withdrawal hardcore. I don't like to take anything for sleep because I can tell how damaged my mind is and I think if I take anything it will just damage it further so I try to resist popping a unisom. I'm def finally in that window and wave stage. I'm 15 months out of a cold turkey. Was on .5 mg of klonopin for 5 years straight once a night. It's been hell guys.

Sorry to hear that. I'm close to 3 months off using dosages, broken little pieces of K. My final dosage was 0.5mg. I was on it for just a month and half for every 2-3 days as needed. I'm still having terrible insomnia as well. No OTC works for me and I might have to get more meds if this continues on after a few more months. Maybe taper off this time or something, I dunno. Good luck and hope you get better.

Yep, these meds can damage you in such short time. It's no joke. It seems like K is one of the harder drugs to kick. The only one that i really knew that recovered CT was Pamster (who is long gone from this site), and Badsocref. (Though he did use some other drugs after but he still kicked it in 9 months after, he even got his sleep back somewhere in the 2nd month) Crazy how these things work. I never had much problems sleeping prior to these meds but now I'm hitting rock bottom after 3 months still.

Thanks for your post. I'm on a similar journey and a high anxiety and hyper personality so I have similar sympathetic nervous system issues.

I am trying hard to get my parasympathetic tone up my mindfulness, meditation and cognitive behaviour therapy.

Just curious, did you ever get your Vitamin D3 and B12 levels checked along with your parathyroid and thyroid?

Thyroid I got checked many times because I did think I had something wrong with it but every time it always came back ok. And I had blood tests and they always came back ok. So idk. Idk what's going on. All I know is I'm messed up.
