... I came across the medical file I started at the beginning of this journey when I didn't realize what was causing all my problems.

 

It infuriates me to look at this file, blood test upon blood test upon blood test. All the receipts for every doctor and specialist I consulted with.

It infuriates me to look at this file, blood test upon blood test upon blood test. All the receipts for every doctor and specialist I consulted with.

 

I remember doing income tax for the year I was so sick in tolerance. I had no idea what kind of medication I was taking (hard to grasp this now that I am very proactive about my health), I had no idea why I was so sick and I had many tests just as you did.

 

The medical file that year was HUGE!  I spent a lot of dollars on alternative doctors, homeopaths etc. I spent a lot of dollars on "cures" for the Candida that I didn't have, the thyroid condition I didn't have etc.  The list goes on and on.

 

The really great thing is my file the next year was much smaller and continued to shrink every subsequent year.  It'll get better for you, much better. Just give it some time!

Sane here! Medical bills hit, all the blood tests I've taken, the doctors I've seen, the ER visits, the hospital stays - everything. It really made my financial life a living hell, and I started to get calls from people regarding bills. It was VERY stressful.

Sorry for all your trouble terry, seems like a lot of us are in a similar boat! I get calls and demand letters daily which I've chosen to ignore till the last. I don't need that stress right now and I have more important bills to pay.

 

I'm scared to add up what I spent, not working for 10 months now. My savings is depleted. I'm looking forward to regaining my health, money will be made. I never thought I would be in a position to rebuild what I worked so hard for.

I don't think any of us imagined that the financial stressors of being in this awful state would be so huge. At least we've learned a good, strong lesson, but at a very high cost!
