Extreme fatigue and weakness after jump..Can it be MS or worse?

After jumping a few weeks ago I have extreme fatigue and body weakness that's so scary!

Sometimes I wonder if I'm about to stop breathing.

How is this not MS or ALS...well, it only happened after the last dose of K.

Its the only explanation..

Doesn't help the stress over those options but..I've got to ride it out..just so tired of it all.

Anyone else feel this way?

Hello,

it is likely all w/d. You were on this drug for a long time. The fear of serious illness is actually withdrawal in itself too!

I hope you feel better soon :)

Exhaustion and weakness are classic withdrawal symptoms.  When you feel the exhaustion coming on, try and rest for fifteen minutes.  Sometimes that will reduce the fatigue.  We have to pace ourselves.  Nothing to worry about, though.  It gets better. :smitten:

It's normal, it will get better.  Just don't strain yourself physically and avoid stress at all costs. ;)

Not a bad disease. Watch out for hypochondria. Its common in this process. Had it myself. You'll be fine, but feeling crappy for a while maybe.

It is not uncommon for physical symptoms during withdrawal to resemble MS.  Even Prof. Ashton stated that a few patients were misdiagnosed with MS years ago.  I had major muscle issues start after stopping klonopin completely.  My brother in law has MS, and our symptoms matched perfectly.  I did have an MRI and MS was ruled out.  Even while tapering, before the muscle issues became too extreme, I had vision issues, muscle pain, spasms and cramping, numbness, tingling, and burning skin.  My brother in law and I were actually sitting there comparing our symptoms saying how mine were almost exactly like his.

While it is a possibility that you developed MS, it is very common for withdrawal symptoms to mimic them.  If you do and the doctors do think you could have MS, make sure you do some type of test to confirm.  People have been put on MS meds, only to suddenly find themselves "cured" a year or two later, because they never actually had MS.  Unfortunately, this also means that people were taking strong/expensive medication for a year or two that was serving no benefit.

Hi Dolphinator,

I saw that with Dr. Ashton as well.

For the past 3 days I've had a wonderful window of health that has really excited me.

If it were MS I would not have been better.

Whew!

My first month off was soooo bad. Give it a few weeks and acute should pass. It very slowly gets more mild.
