Hey guys,

I am in bed most of day.  I knew what to expect, but did not know it would be as rough.  :D

Hello Rrr871,

Welcome to Benzo Buddies and congratulations on doing so well on your taper thus far. You started at a pretty high dose. how long ago did you start your taper?

You'll find many people here tapering from Klonopin. After long term use, such as yours, a slow taper is recommended to help minimize withdrawal symptoms. What kind of taper plan have you been following.  Generally, a reduction of no more than 5-10% every 10-14 days is suggested. I'll give you a link to the General Taper Plans for additional information.

I'll also give you a link to the Ashton Manual. It is an excellent resource about these types of drugs and how to withdraw. It was written by Dr. Heather Ashton, an expert in the field.

You are getting very low in your dose. At times, the lower doses can be more challenging. That's the time to listen to your body and adjust the rate of reduction if necessary.

We'll be happy to support and encourage you as you journey to be benzo free. Please do ask questions, we're here to help.

I know everyone is feeling awful.  Some worse, depending on years taken and half lives.  I found that in addition to the tachycardia, headache, general body ache, weakness, fatigue, cognitive issues, dizziness, etc. there is this awful side effect of increased libido.  I didn't think this would be issue considering how sick I feel.  However, if taken care of, it may provide some temporary relief.  A warm bath is some what helpful.  Tv on low, dim lights around home.
