I’m part of the Cold Turkey gang and I’m wondering how people responded to physical activity following jumping. I can say that at the beginning I was okay then it got worse before it got better, I started feeling better and branched out to a more intense workout (CrossFit) and it seems like the aches/pains are multiplied. Just doing like an hour on the elliptical I’m pretty good but any decent type of other training and it takes almost a week to recover. This has to be related right???

Ive started exercising again which I definetely think is beneficial to my mood and health. I can only tolerate exercises while sitting down (other than walking) which does present some limitations. Ive been going on the bike and machines were I sit down and that seems to be fine for me. I get dizzy exerting myself while standing up.

Sometimes my muscles seems very painful the next day, Im not sure If they are more so because of withdrawal though. All things considered it seems to be working for me.

I started doing a routine of 30 minutes, using a chair, standing, and lying down. I do it in the evening, in front of the tv, and in addition to any walking or biking etc. I might do.  I use bands and a can of tomatoes. I got these exercises from times when I've had PT.

It is saving my life. I was on my back for years, and about to seize up and not be able to move at all. Aerobic exercise is not enough to maintain flexibility and condition all the muscles in the body.

Exercise made me kind of shakey.  The more vigorous, the more shaking.  Nonetheless, I exercised 6-7 days a week (and I'm glad I did).  I tried to do it early in the day so that that shakiness didn't affect my sleep.

Yeah it seems like the more vigorous the more it gets me dizzy... does this go away?

Yeah, it (the shakes) goes away.  I'm over 3 1/2 years out now and can exercise as hard as I want (well, as hard as my 62-year-old body lets me).  I did a good hard sprint on my bike this evening, and other than feeling exhausted, I was fine.  No shaking.  I'm sure I was able to exercise fully at the one year mark.  I'm not so sure about the 9 month mark although I was mostly healed by then.
