I'm 3 weeks off today. Many of my symptoms have lessened already and I'm really happy about the progress so far as it seems the acute might not hit me because I'm already 3 weeks off. However I have scary symptom which is internal tremor together with small spasms. My sleep is quite broken which seems to be typical so I sleep about 4 hrs a night and then wake up and have maybe 1-2 hrs more broken/light sleep. After the first wake-up the internal tremor starts in my head. It is very light, nobody can see it and it seems to lead small spasms in my hands. Sometime right hand sometimes left. I think tremor and spasms are somehow connected as I get spasms always together with tremor during night time but never during daytime. I have tried magnesium, B-vitamins and hydration but they do not help me with this.

I'm wondering if my tremor and spasms are withdrawal/recovery related or something else. Has anybody else experienced anything similar?

I had a couple of different 'feeling' tremors while in withdrawal.  One seemed more internal and localized to my head and neck.  The other was more throughout my body (hands, especially).  Difficult to say if either is what you experienced, but tremor is very common.  So are little spasms.  Again, I had plenty of them.  A little twitch sometimes.  A little jerk sometimes.  Mostly, I was the only person aware of any of this (tremor or spasms).  They slowly resolved over 2-3 months.  I'd still have an occasional twitch or jerk after that, but it was no big deal.

I don't think supplements are going to help this.  I think it just takes time.

I'm having this same thing in the morning. I wake up early, 4:15 today, and start this shaking. Like a leaf. But I'm not physically shaking. I keep asking my husband and I'm not moving.  But it feels like it to me. So this is internal tremor?  I also have the twitches. Mainly small, but occasionally a full jerk.

Please tell me this will eventually go.

Thanks

Thanks about your responses buddies!

McS, yes the invisible tremor like you described is what I referred as internal tremor. It is nice to know that at least some of the buddies has experienced it as it tells that it most probably is withdrawal related symptom. Well I do not hope anyone have it but hope it goes away soon!

Thanks again.
