Insane insomnia

How much can a koala bear??!! Its been over 4 weeks of not sleeping! Some nights or rather mornings, I will get some very very light limbo moments with not quite dreams but more hallucinations and perhaps micro sleeps. But mostly I just lie there staring at the ceiling. I just don't have that sleepy, weary feeling, I'm hyper alert. Despite the fact that I'm beyond exhausted and so sleep deprived I'm hallucinating during the day and have absolutely no energy. Im 16.5 months out and I had insomnia periods during this hell ride, sure, but nothing like this! Now because I'm so tired some of the worst symptoms like heart palps are coming back. I did not have sleep issues before benzos. Why now? Has anyone experienced such severe insomnia this far out? Is this normal? I don't know how long I can go on without going nuts! The only other symptoms now are severe tinititis and joint/muscle pain. Mentally im doing very well. Please share if you can. Thanks.

I take about 5 mg of melatonin. 12.5 mg of benedryl. And about 200 mg of 5-htp.

Sleep deprivation could cause hypnagogic hallucinations.

The need for sleep is so powerful that there are natural mechanisms which ensure that

sleep will eventually return to an adequate pattern.
