Hello buddies,

I've quitted benzo and AD at the time nearly 4 months ago, still in hell.

Do someone have any experience of getting better with 2 withdrawal syndrome together ?

I was under benzo WD, they gave me an AD saying I was depressent and worsen EVERYTHING. I was so sick. I stoped it and it took one year to feel me almost healed.

Now, almost month 15, I feel im 98%-99% healed

I'm at one year from CT AD, benzo & antipsychotic.  It's been verrrrry difficult.  But it's slowly gotten better.  I'm almost at 1 year.  I'm just being as patient as I can.  And I pray.

Yes, I went off the benzo and SSRI at the same time. I had only been on the SSRI for six months though, so not sure how relevant that was but I did have the typical SSRI WD feature - brain zaps.

Everything has improved and, at 13.5 months, is still improving all the time in a hundred subtle ways; the roughest anxiety began to fade out at 6-7 months and now there is no more anxiety.

Four months is still early - but I would imagine that you have passed the worst point by now - even if that doesn't 'feel real'... Be patient and accepting and pass your time peacefully.

All the very best

I replied on your other post on the CT/Rapid withdrawal board.

Ad withdrawal can be very hard...you have a double whammy but you will heal soon...4 months is early on. Hang in there..better days are.coming

I tried AD/lexapro a month into my benzo withdrawal for 6 weeks, it didn't really work for me (although it did work in the past).  So I stopped it, had withdrawal symptoms from it for about 2 weeks, mainly brain zaps, eye zaps, and headache, nothing major.  Withdrawing from ADs pales in comparison to withdrawing from benzos.  Good luck!
