Hi,

I am down to roughly 4.5 mg of Valium. I was using just water from 5 mg down to 4.5. I realized this wasn't accurate enough so I am now adding Propylene Glycol to make a suspension. Can someone tell me if using 2 ml is enough to break the pill down and then just add my water? I am using 300 ml of water per day. Not sure if this is right or not.

1)  I suggest a ratio of 2ml PG per 1mg diazepam.  So at 4.5mg, you should use 9ml PG.

2)  Dissolving your diazepam in PG will create a true, uniformly distributed solution, NOT a suspension.

3)  You can of course use any concentration (mgs per ml) that you choose, but a final concentration of .1mg per ml makes it very easy to calculate, measure and track your doses and cuts.  Ex:  50mg diazepam + 100ml PG + 400ml water would give about a 10-12 day supply of .1mg per ml liquid.

Builder,

I am so bad at math that his does not make sense to me.  I just need to know how much water to put with a 5 mg pill of Valium so that I am pulling a mL a day to end up with .5 mg pulled at the end of a month.

To do that "pull and discard" method, dissolve 5mgs diazepam in 10ml PG, and add 40ml water.  That's 50ml of solution.

You will pull and throw away...

day 1    .015ml

day 2    .3ml

day3      .45ml

day 4    .6ml

etc...

Each day increase your "pull" by .15ml

But "pull to discard" is a silly, labor-intensive procedure that was originated for milk tapers.  Here is a much simpler program.

Dissolve 10X 5mg  tablets (50MG) in 100ML PG and add 400ml water.  This will be a 10=12 day supply.  It will be stable and non-perishable, and should be stored at room temp in a glass container.

Then if your starting at 4.5ml and want to your daily schedule will be:

4.5mg (45ml)

4.485mg (44.85ml)

4.47mg (44.7ml)

4.455mg (44.55ml)

etc...

You just lower your dose by .15ml each day.

Whichever method you use, at the end of 30 days, you will have dropped .45mg, and you will be at 4.05mg.
