Some people may not fully stabilize between cuts, and nothing they do eases the withdrawal.

When this happens, the only thing you can do is select one of the safest taper plans and persist,

knowing that once you are off you will feel better.

I agree in that sometimes a updose does not help...but on another note, I had been totally against updosing until I got into a really bad wave that lasted almost 5-6 months.  I held that time and it only got worse.  I became desperate and updosed 1/2 mg.  I held only until I felt better and then proceeded to taper, but at a slower rate.  I was able to get down even more but then again hit a bad wave, became desperate, updosed by .25 mg's, stabilized again and have been able to taper again successfully.

I do feel these deceisons are very personal and it is always a risk.  Sometimes one will not stabilize and then you have made a step backwards and tapering will be hard no matter what.  I am again at that crossroad and have to decide if I'll updose, hold or just proceed with my taper.

Good luck with your decision!
