Virus causing symptoms

I'm 10 months off and started with a chest cold yesterday and severe symptoms came with it along with pain everywhere. Has this happened to anyone?

hasn't happened to me yet but I already prepared myself. I told my sister if I get clinically sick and it may be inevitable I wouldn't be able to handle it. this sucks so bad. stay with simple aspirin and vicks vapor rub cold medicines have a host of evil chemicals in them. stay strong you be OK. oh ya put the Vick's on and cover your chest and throat with a soft rag inhale the vapor

Yes, any type of illness (or even injury) can totally ramp up symptoms.  Unfortunately, sometimes it can even bring back symptoms which seem to have stopped.

I had a cold and sinusitis during my withdrawal, burning in my chest, pressure in my head, loss of taste and smell, and terrible pain.  It dragged on for 4 weeks, longest ever!! I did a round of antibiotics and improved a lot.  But this damn cold and sinusitis really screwed up my withdrawal badly and raved up my symptoms.  I cried everyday from pain and cursed God.  I am sorry for that now.  So guys, try to avoid cold, flu, or any infection during the withdrawal.
