Hi all.  I'm getting pretty concerned, and I guess I just need some reassurance.  The muscles in my head, face, neck, shoulders, and back are extremely rigid.  I also have dp/dr so I have trouble sensing my body properly. When I try to relax things, I get all kinds of crazy movements and sensations all over.  I guess I just need some reassurance that this is typical with withdrawal.  Everything feels super weird and out of position.

It's very typical to have tight, rigid muscles during withdrawal.  Many people feel anxious, and the fight/flight condition occurs.  The problem is that we neither fight or take flight.  So all that pent-up energy just stays in your muscles.  They get tight, and are more easily injured since they are stressed for long periods of time.  Gentle exercise/stretching can help.  Full body relaxation mediation can help.  Gentle (relaxing) massage can help.  Warm baths/showers can help.

The condition will go away all by itself in time.

Thanks.  Reassurances like this are really helpful.
