Trigger warning ⚠️

I'm so sorry to keep bothering everyone but this is bad the worst it's been and has increased dramatically in the last 2-3 days!

Thank you for sharing with me it means a lot! I don't really understand just over the past few days these symptoms have become so much more intense and severe if I didn't know better I'd be on my way to the hospital right now it's so bad!

The extreme excruciating pressure and pain in my head is so bad and I think worse than it's ever been and these emotional symptoms have taking a major turn for the worse just over the last few days literally can not breath so much pressure and pain in my head I can't not function extremely nauseous and physically sick can't move deep dark depression horrible evil intrusive thoughts to the point of being extremely agitated and going into yelling burst feeling like I'm being smothered and can't breath this is really bad and has increased dramatically over the last 48 hours extremely confused and detached horrific DP/DR and my head is on fire and this dull sharp shooting numb pain in my forehead some kind of clicking noise in my left ear and that constant buzzing noise in my head is any of this normal?

Don't know how much of this is Benzo WD versus what the Zoloft is doing?

Big debate on to taper the Zoloft now or wait and hold till some improvements come but this is not getting any better just continues to climb and get worse!

What to I do from this point? I feel like I'm having a psychotic episode and losing my mind and the physical symptoms continue to rise anxiety to the point of shaking and not able to breath

Hi Maize,

I’m so very sorry that you are still going through this terrifying experience, and I wish there were something we could do to help you. However, as an international online forum, we cannot offer the kind of on-the-ground help that you desperately need.

If you are still experiencing the types of thoughts that you described, your idea of going to the hospital may be a good one, or you could call one of the helplines found in the link below.

Please stay safe!

Leslie

I would recommend checking yourself into the hospital if your having those kinds of thoughts. They can take you off your Zoloft and monitor you for a while why you adjust. I'm out of ideas otherwise. Saying a prayer for you though.

Oh Maize,  How awful for you.....it might be the Zoloft I hate Zoloft but that doesn't help you, hopefully if you go to the hospital they will figure it out....my prayers are with you.

Zoloft gave me horrible intrusive, dark thoughts. So it's possible.

I was slammed with a really bad wave at month 11, too. At times I thought I was going to die. I didn't though. I took one day at a time and re-learned my coping skills and things are getting a lot better. Today at 15 months out I drove a half-hour away to get my hair cut, got a coffee, and went to a barbecue. Just three months ago I was barely functional.

I'd also mention that having a bad wave at 11 months out is somewhat common, it seems. A lot of folks actually healed not long after, from what I've heard. All you have to do is hang on.

I know things seem impossible now, but distract yourself as much as you can and get through each day. It really does get better. The more you fight it the worse it gets, too.

What you are experiencing definitely sounds like withdrawal, so remind yourself that it truly is temporary. I have had the breathing issues, myself, and they are very scary, but diaphragmic breathing and distraction help. Distraction helps depression, anxiety, and dp/dr, too. I go outside and putter around in the garden when things get rough for me.

Just survive. You can do this.

If I were you I would get off of Zoloft. Obviously, it doesn't help you if you feel like this.
