An OTC pain med (ibuprofen, acetaminophen) might help if you can take one of those.

I use flaxseed oil, as ALA is neuroprotective, diabetics supplement with it for neuropathy. I start with a Teaspoon in the morning and up it by 1 teaspoon every 4 days until I hit 3 teaspoons/1 tablespoon.

Yes. I have a nerve pain in my left hand, and also my left hand thumb feels partially numbed.  It came on about 3 months ago, it scared me, but it's slowly improving.  I hope it goes away eventually.  I read in the Ashton Manual that patches of numbness and nerve pain occur often in benzo withdrawal.  I also had nerve pain and numbness on the outter side of my right foot.  It freaked me out too, but it went away.

I have it in my left toes i took a nerve conductor test that showed neuropathy. in the last few months, I have had a burning  in my chest neck, arms even when my eyes tear up the tears burn my eyes. went to an allergist and those results came back neg for allergies. i never had this until 2 years into taking clonazepam. Of course, the neurologist doesn't believe benzos cause these things. So i decided to get off the medication myself. tried twice ct and failed. i'm now at day 7 of a 25% reduction for the next 2 weeks then switching over to the water tapering method

Try soaking in a very hot bath, as hot as you can stand it.

I have it everywhere

So did I from head to toes. Jerking limbs, anxiety, fear, etc. It does get better so slow.

I read in another patient's post that the key to keeping your symptoms manageable is to "confuse" your CNS and this made perfect sense to me. For example, a hot bath can overcome nerve pain by "distracting" the brain with another sensation that's stronger so your brain pays attention to the new sensation. Putting icy hot on a painful area was one example she used. It seems to work because it gives your nervous system something else to concentrate on. It's temporary of course, but when you're looking for ANY relief, I think it helps. Your nervous system can really only concentrate on one thing at a time, so if you overwhelm it with other sensations it can't fixate on the horrible symptoms as much. I hope you feel better soon.
