So I believe I've figured something out...

Hey everyone,

Ever since Ive been going through this withdrawal, I've been OCD about trying to get to the root of my symptoms. My main issue has been regarding my overall vision, with the prize winner going to this "oscillopsia" (bouncing vision when moving around). As I've said in the past, and just like most others, I too fell into the column of paying lots of money to get my eyes checked out and even a step further, vestibular testing was done also. And the outcome was?... drum roll... everything checked out fine, including my inner ear. None of this made sense to me because I'm having the symptoms of somebody who has bilateral inner ear loss, accompanying other assumed diseases. So all this confusion just led me down the long treacherous, and OCD journey of googling my life away. Well anyways, to get to the point: I'm sure, in my case being that this A.) this came during withdrawal. And  B.) got testing done with normal results., that the reason for my double vision/oscillopsia/other visual disturbances is indeed because of my eyes and brain trying to work so hard to get a single picture out, but can't because of this lazy eye that I have now. Yes, my lazy eye, that I just started noticing maybe 4 months back, but I'm sure I had at the beginning, just had too many other symptoms to actually notice it. I'm almost POSITIVE, that this lazy eye is the culprit to a lot of my symptoms. I never had it before withdrawal, but I'm sure it came because of a total shock to the system during acute. This minor lazy eye is a small misalignment in my eyes that that is sending 2 different pictures to the brain, therefore in order to try and make it right, the eyes are working so hard ALL DAY to get one picture that it's causing an abundance of symptoms AKA: bouncy vision, eye strain, double vision, etc... bouncing vision being the worst for me. It is clear because of this that my eyes are so tired all day from trying to stabilize on one image that it's causing my eye muscles to be incredibly weak.

The only cause for concern is that there is such a thing as "permanent oscillopsia", which indeed is from a misalignment in your eyes, that may never go back to normal which would give me this darn ever lasting symptom.

For others out there who have the eye strain, double vision, etc... I wonder if this has to do with it. I wrote this hoping others might chime in on what they think, as it's nice to have an intellectual conversation on these kinds of things we are going though.

I have blurry vision and my eyesight has deteriorated rapidly during wd.  I was thinking it was all old age and planned to get lasik.  Now I am going to wait a bit.  I haven't had any eye tests yet so I really don't know but think it best to hold off on surgery a bit.  I had other intermittent eye issues during wd but nothing lasting.  It's truly amazing the different/varied things wd causes.  I'm glad your tests didn't show anything wrong.
