Is there anyone that healed from there depression after 11 months? I'm panicking today because I am not at all better mentally and my depression is really bad. I'm wondering if anyone had really bad daily depression through this and it started to lift at some point after 11 months or so.

thank you for your help,

thank you for your help,

I was in full-on anhedonia and depression at 11 months, felt utterly without hope.

Today I'm cheerful and planning on what nice things I can cook and eat this weekend. Up until a month ago, I couldn't even microwave anything. No motivation, no desire to eat, no joy in anything.

Then it vanished, poof. :)

Look forward to it, it's on the way!

That's so awesome Leslie! Did it just dissappear one day forever? Did you sleep improve first? That's how I know I'm depressed. My sleep is all over the place. I know once this stabilizes, I'll be good to go. Thanks for taking the time to help us.

It's weird, the first thing to return was the ability to react to sad or touching things - I couldn't even cry for almost a year, was dead emotionally. After that I began to feel a little happiness, then more and more. Around that point I could suddenly sleep again, OMG.

I just now fell asleep at work, with my face cheek-down on my desk - that's my old 'normal.'

That's so wonderful! I'm so happy for you! I'm glad it didn't take you so long to get back to normal. I'm sure I'll get there one day.

You will!  :)

I'm at fifteen months off today, and this only happened about a month ago. It happens for some earlier than others, but I'm pretty convinced now that we all return to our 'normal' baselines eventually.

Three months ago I was losing hope myself, but that's just because benzo recovery is so circuitous, I guess - very discouraging sometimes, that's for sure.

What kind of depression did you have? You were still functioning and at work so it must have been fairly mild. Unfortunately mine comes with being in bed some days and ideations (which I never had before Benzo's).

Thank you for your hope..
