Teva wants me to work for them.

This is two posts I made on my new and recent p-log. I would normally just leave them there, but since it talks about TEVA I thought I would post them here. If the team thinks this is wrong, please delete this. I took out the regular part out these two posts.

 

An odd thing happened to me yesterday. I am a member of LinkedIn and some pharma company asked if I would do an interview as a sale rep. The salary was outstanding, more than one can imagine. Plus the commissions, bonuses, retirement plans etc. were all amazing. But I was so shocked about even thinking working for Big Pharma, I gave them a tirade of how sick these people are. I'm sure I will not hear from them again.  The money was so good, but to me it would be like taking blood money. Even worse than the street dealers. Horrifying! I doubt I could work right now anyway, as that damned fatigue keeps rearing its ugly head. Also my short term memory is getting worse. My pdoc said that is all part and parcel of w/d.

Despite the fact that I gave that company an ear full, then sent me an email stilling asking for some information like references etc.

 

I did find out who that pharma company is: TEVA: I should have saved it and copied it here. I put it into the trash bin and then emptied it because I did not want to see it again. The next time they do this I will. Some things really burned me up. I have to paraphrase this but one of the job requirements was "You have to influence the doctors to prescribe Teva drugs. It doesn't matter how, we will teach you." Another one said, "Don't discuss any side effects from the drugs. If you happen to have one who asks, play them down." "Casually say a certain drug has helped "a friend of yours" when it was used off label." Another statement said this: "be prepared to offer incentives to doctors who will prescribe Teva drugs." I guess this should not be a surprise to us as we all knew how they operated, but seeing it in black and white was something else. Now I am totally convinced Big Pharma will do anything, no matter if the drugs harm a person or kills them, to get more and more revenue. They could care less about patients, like us, if we suffer from those drugs. I think personally the heads of these companies should be put on trial, sent to prison, and the key thrown away. I am sick to my stomach, and it's not from the Chinese food. :crazy:

That really is sick and disgusting. Unbelievable what some people will do for a $. Greed truly destroys the souls of all those who allow it. Money means nothing without happiness. You can't put a price on your quality of life. I realize pretty much all Rx meds have side effects and some are necessary but this is ridiculous! I could never knowingly harm someone or destroy their lives like this with promises of a "cure". Ugh makes me so mad! Anyone with a conscience would not be ok with that. They're the reason why no Dr believes what is happening to us. I don't blame the Drs for not knowing...I blame the ones who do know and choose to look the other way.

I read your post first thing after you posted it in your progress log this afternoon and got extremely upset again. I always knew this was going on but just reading another confirmation makes me so pissed and mad time after time again.

 

I just have no words for this anymore. I don't know what to say or think anymore.     

 

Just utterly disgusting and outrageous. Makes me sick to my stomach.     

 

I have Teva Valium tablets myself. Not all are Teva but some of my stash. In my country it's considered a generic brand. The 5 mg tablets don't seem to work as well for me as the real Valium. But for the 2 mg tablets Teva is the only one that sells in my country.

This seems par for the course, Bets, but to have actually experienced that is awful. Really shows how corrupt the system is. Very sad. And to believe that some doctors follow what the drug reps say!!!

I agree. We all know this is happening but to see it in black and white was something very disturbing. At least my pdoc refuses to see any and all sales reps. Good for him.

Agree, it sounds very odd that they'd send these dirty company secrets to a total stranger over the internet.  You're 100% certain it was from Teva and not a scam perhaps, or someone having a bit of fun with you?

Can't be sure. But I paid for a membership to this site to show me available jobs. The problem is they keep showing me sales positions and that is not what I want. It seemed real enough to me but than again good scams are.
