Bed bound nausea

Today I am bed bound with terrible nausea, tinnitus and anxiety. Has anyone else been like this? I am alone and scared. Thanks. Gx

Gilly, Nausea is the worst. I had it severely yesterday, and today I am in bed due to a mix of anxiety and depression. It is hard to keep slogging through this. My husband told me this is the most important thing I have ever done. That is true for all of us. Just hard to really experience that, I think, until we are on the other side. But maybe we can catch glimpses of it sometimes. You are so brave.

Thanks for getting back to me, newgrl. I am stuck in bed and on my own. I tapered a tiny bit and now I feel so terrible. I had a window for two weeks but now I'm back in Hell again. I hope you feel better soon. Gx

Now I can't stop crying. What can I do?

Hi Gilly, don't worry about crying I think it helps us release anxiety. Nausea is the pits, have you tried some sea bands they work on acupressure points, they sometimes help. You are strong and can make this, every day change comes - a Window is just around the corner. Sending you  :smitten:and 🤗

Yes.  Feel for you.  Sending you a hug.

Keep your head up.  I've been crying on and off all day, and I'm a grown man.  It's okay to cry, and I think it actually helps relieve anxiety. As for the nausea, I feel your pain as I've been there before. Try just eating jello, or just suck on some candy. I hope you feel better soon.

Yep, it's pretty much the worst symptom, along with acid reflux. I'll take muscle pain and insomnia over this any day, but I guess anxiety likes to find the things you are most afraid of and present them to you on a silver platter. Much love to you. CBD oil can help, along with ginger tea and eating just a tiny bit of food, even if it is a bite of a cracker or a piece of toast. My Dr gave me some anti-nausea pills to take if it gets really bad, but I'm afraid to take them, blah.

Thank you all so much for getting back to me. I have not had nausea today. I've just been frightened all day. As if that's not enough....

I lowered my dose just a bit and now I have terrible nausea.

I push through eating but worried it wont stay down.

Seems to wax and wane but still hits from 9 to about 4 everyday.

It will get better...it has too!

Lets hang in there!

Emetrol is a good OTC med for nausea. It should be relatively harmless (I say that with caution since so many people are sensitive to certain meds and supplements). It's basically just a phosphorylated carbohydrate solution, almost like sugar water.

This is a horrible symptom - I had to take a little Zofran chewable for it -- leftover from post op.  I was afraid to even drink water.  It was worth it to me to take something just to get through the first few weeks of this.  The nausea DID go away.  It's just part of the process.  WBB
