Tinnitus seems to be in full throttle again. Don't really see any improvement with it at 12 months off. It's been consistently bad the whole time and I'm afraid it's never going to go. It's scary and loud and intrusive. Today the muscle weakness of yesterday has subsided and I've got more energy and want to do something but with the tinnitus roaring it brings me down and slows me to a crawl.

I hate this symptom. I know I need to work on acceptance of it but it's just so draining.

How are other people with tinnitus coping?

Posted

I barely cope with the tinnitus however I also have so many other debilitating symptoms.

How's your hearing? Tinnitus bilateral?

It's in my head mostly not the ears. Just white noise. I have a lot of symptoms too - I would consider this a window - except for the tinnitus.

Maybe it's a good thing I didn't get out this morning a bomb just went off in my local underground station!

What a world. Won't beat myself up then. I could have been on that train!

Consider yourself lucky, it should subside with time.

I don't want to make your post about my T but believe me it can be much much worse.

I'd give almost anything to go back to that.

Omigosh, I just read about it on the BBC - so glad you're home and not there, Bonaventure!

Tinnitus seems to be one of the longer lasting symptoms, but mine's finally fading a little. Somewhere around the one-year mark it got worse for me, with particularly vocal crickets chirping insanely in my left ear, and arythmic clicks happening simultaneously.

Now it's reduced to a soft white noise, no more crickets, clicks or jet engine whines. Hope yours subsides, as well!

I would've been about 20 minutes behind that train if I hadn't had a bad sleep and decided to miss my morning appointment. I definitely do count myself lucky. It's pretty tense around here still with a lot of helicopters and police.

I can't wait till it starts to fade. It's one of many symptoms but it never really goes even when I get windows. So frustrating. It's definitely worsened again. More frequent. Louder. You know how it is.

Thanks guys. Wish you both well.
